Eyes Upward, Feet Forward, and Hearts Homeward - The Five Legends Today we walked the land to determine the area for the driveway. It was a chilly, windy day, but the land looked as beautiful as always. Surrounded by trees, and earthy smells we walked around imagining where we plan to live someday. The icy lake looked so beautiful with the sun shining on it. We even heard a little red squirrel chirping away as if it was asking us what we plan on doing there.

Fries for the Closing

I couldn't join Douglas today for the Closing. Before he joined everyone  at noon, he decided to stop by McDonalds for a burger and fries. Then back to the land  after the Closing to find out where the septic will be relocated. We talked on the phone during lunch, and said a prayer because we feel so blessed and grateful.

Soil Test for Chamber

 Today Bill LaBelle conducted a soil test for us to install a chamber system. Douglas discovered an abandoned birds nest, and some ferns that we hope will come back up in the Spring. We love fiddleheads in Fiore butter flavored olive oil.

Starting 2021 with Stake for Lunch

 We decided to start our New Year 2021 staking the land with two possible building sites. After we were done walking, and marking the land we decided to have our lunch on the little beach by the frosty sunny Lake.

A walk around the land

We were able to walk the land, and we bumped into a couple at lot #2. We asked them if they were our neighbors. They said that they were just looking, and shopping around. They asked if we were doing the same, and Douglas let him know that we were under contract.
